Please call the member number on the back side of your insurance card to check that your policy is in-network with Eternal Dermatology. It is not always possible to confirm what type of policy you have just by looking at your card. It is important that you confirm with your insurance company that Eternal Dermatology is in-network with your specific insurance policy.
As an example, even though we accept CareFirst BCBS, your specific policy may not be in-network with Eternal Dermatology. This means that you may have higher fees, or may not at all be covered. It is very important that you determine this information before coming to your appointment.

Most HMO policies
If you have an HMO insurance policy, or any other health insurance plan that requires a referral, you must provide a referral to us from your primary care physician, so that your insurance company covers your visit. Some insurances require a referral for each individual office visit and also may require one for each procedure. Please have this referral faxed to us before your appointment at (240)654-0408, or bring it with you to your appointment.
Failure to present a referral at the time of your visit will require you to reschedule your appointment.
You also have the option to be a “Self Pay” patient, and submit the claim to your insurance company on your own.
Before your appointment, you should confirm with your insurance company if you have exclusions on your policy. For example, you confirmed that you are in-network with Eternal Dermatology, but you may only be able to be seen for acne because other conditions are excluded from your policy. We are unable to determine this by looking at your insurance card.
Please remember to bring your Insurance card and ID with you to every visit.
Failure to present both your Insurance card and ID upon arrival to your visit will require you to reschedule your appointment.
You also have the option to be a “Self Pay” patient, and submit the claim to your insurance company on your own.
If you have no insurance or Eternal Dermatology does not accept your insurance, we will gladly see you as a Self Pay patient. New patient consultations are $250. Any procedures performed, (for example, skin biopsy) would be an additional cost. Pricing would be provided to you upon evaluation.
